In 1990, Indrajit Sabharwal established Simmtronics with the initial concentration on memory modules and DRAM technology. During his leadership, the company diversified from offering memory modules and DRAM technology to motherboards, graphic cards, LED monitors, and USB drives, supplying to customers such as HCL, LG, and Sahara.


Strategic expansions also resulted in opening distribution centers at Singapore (2005) and Dubai (2006), thereby allowing Simmtronics to cater to markets of 14 countries through 21 offices and more than 500 employees. By 2012, turnover of the company had touched Rs 550 crore.

One of the landmark achievements was the launch of 24 specially designed tablets, designed to meet various market requirements, in 2012, which became very popular, especially in the Middle East region. Simmtronics' focus on innovation was rewarded by a number of awards, including the Frost & Sullivan "Product Leadership of the Year" award in the tablet PC sector and "Largest Tablet PC Manufacturer in India" recognition by NCN.
